1968
Townsend W. Belt registered as a general contractor in Hillsborough County.
March 1972
Townsend W. Belt, Inc was created – a commercial general contractor company in Tampa, Florida.
October 1987
The company name was changed to Townsend W Belt, LLC and Joseph W. Belt, son of Townsend Belt, became the owner of the construction company.
August 1989
Name changed to Belt Construction Corp of Tampa (current construction company name, under Joseph W. Belt).
1991
Joseph W. Belt receives his PE (professional engineer) license. Engineering division under Belt Construction is started.
2011
Belt Engineering, LLC is created – separating the engineering practice from Belt Construction as the engineering company grew. Joseph W. Belt is CEO of both construction and engineering companies.
2021
Sam Dean, PE and Joseph Guagliardo, PE join Joe Belt, PE as principal owners of Belt Engineering, LLC.
