Specialty Structural Engineering Services

Belt Engineering provides specialty structural engineering services for a diverse variety of projects in Orlando and Tampa, Florida. Our dedication and attention to detail for each project ensures our design is economical and critical deadlines are always met.

While every project would have a single designated Structural Engineer of Record (SER) who is responsible for establishing the design criteria and concepts for the project’s scope, they may delegate the design, fabrication, and possibly even the installation of various engineering elements needed for the project to a Specialty Structural Engineer (SSE).

Certain portions of the project are delegated to our specialty structural engineers who will have to prepare construction documents, design documents, and calculations to be submitted to the SER. They verify that the work complies with various requirements and that it is consistent with the rest of the work being done for the project. An SER is necessary to ensure that the various design work being completed by multiple SSEs is uniform.

At Belt Engineering, LLC, our specialty structural engineers are well versed in the design of various engineered elements, as well as in the analysis of and inspection of these same elements. Common examples of these engineered elements would be cold-formed steel, mast arms, foundation systems, canopies, awnings, and much more. We can also conduct finite element analysis, structural feasibility studies, Stucco evaluations, shoring inspections, and beyond.
